The Ogawa Net is built for the kind of water most anglers walk past — the narrow seams, shaded pockets, and quiet trickles where small fish live wild and unpressured. Ogawa (小川) means “small creek” in Japanese, a fitting name for a net shaped by hand for intimate water.
Each frame is formed from natural bamboo, bent and finished to preserve its grain and warmth. The handle is hardwood, shaped to sit comfortably in the hand without adding weight. Because these are real materials, each net carries its own character — colors may range from light to dark depending on the bamboo and wood used.
The deep, knotless mesh protects delicate fish and moves cleanly through tight water. A small leather side tab provides a secure point for a lanyard or magnetic release, while a D‑ring mounted at the back of the handle offers an additional attachment option for anglers who prefer a rear tether.
Two sizes are available, each suited to different water:
• Ogawa 712 — 7" wide, 12" overall length, 11" deep net, 3.8 oz
• Ogawa 610 — 6" wide, 10" overall length, 9" deep net, 3.6 oz
Both are compact enough for brushy banks and high‑gradient headwaters, yet deep enough to cradle fish safely.
The Ogawa Net is a simple tool, made with care, for anglers who appreciate small water and the fish that live there.
