Each Trota Superba blank is built from our exclusive S‑Glass prepreg — a specialized weight formulated solely for this series — and formed on a custom, purpose‑built mandrel engineered specifically to create the Superba’s dramatic swelled‑butt geometry. This combination of advanced composite and specialized mandrel design allows us to reduce material mass while maintaining strength, resulting in a crisper, lighter, and more balanced rod with a uniquely progressive action. The blank loads deeper, recovers cleaner, and carries energy through the cast with smooth, controlled power.
 
Precision Components
We offer a Trout Superba Flor‑grade cigar grip that is bored specifically to fit the enlarged butt section, along with a matching winding check — because a swelled butt of this size is notoriously difficult to pair with standard pre‑formed grips unless you turn the grip directly on the blank.
When you purchase the blank / grip / check kit, we also include a reel‑seat stint to reduce the butt diameter, ensuring perfect compatibility with any of our handcrafted wood‑insert reel seats.
