The Kawa Net is built for anglers who love the same intimate water as the Ogawa — the tight seams, shaded pockets, and quiet bends where wild fish live unpressured — but prefer the clean, direct feel of a straight handle. Kawa (川) means “river” in Japanese, a simple, honest name for a net shaped by hand for small water and the fish that thrive there.
Each frame is formed from natural bamboo, bent and finished to preserve its grain and warmth. The straight hardwood handle offers a balanced, confident grip without adding weight. Because these are real materials, every net carries its own character — tones may range from light to dark depending on the bamboo and wood selected.
The deep, knotless mesh protects delicate fish and moves cleanly through tight water. A leather side tab provides a secure point for a lanyard or magnetic release, while a brass D‑ring at the end of the handle offers a second attachment option for anglers who prefer a rear tether.
Two sizes are available:
• Kawa 812 — 8" wide, 12" overall length, 11" deep net, approx. 3.8 oz
• Kawa 710 — 7" wide, 10" overall length, 9" deep net, approx. 3.6 oz
Both sizes are compact enough for brushy banks, pocket water, and high‑gradient headwaters, yet deep enough to cradle fish safely.
The Kawa Net is a simple, dependable tool — made with care — for anglers who appreciate small water, clean lines, and the feel of honest materials in hand.
